Lost in Yonkers, written by Neil Simon, is the story of two teenage brothers, Jay and Arty Kurnitz, who are forced to live with their father's dysfunctional family in Yonkers, New York. The boys reunite with their German grandmother and their Aunt Bella as they learn what life is like living with their strict and over-the-top grandmother. As the boys begin to settle in at their grandmother's house, Uncle Louie, a stereotypical mobster, unexpectedly decides to visit his family. The boys immediately attach to their only uncle as he shares his childhood stories with his nephews. With hesitation at first, Jay and Arty warm up to Aunt Bella as they help her build her confidence to tell Grandma her plans of marriage. Through this funny and emotional story, the Kurnitz family learns the importance of family and tolerance of others.
