The Illusion, written by Tony Kushner, follows an aging father's quest to locate his son, whom he drove away years ago. Having exhausted all conventional methods of search, Pridimant turns to the sorcerer Alcandre to discover what has become of his son. For Pridimant Alcandre conjures three scenes, each depicting a significant part of his son's life. A pair of star-crossed lovers, an arrogant prince, a buffoon, a scheming maidÑa relationship between each character builds and deteriorates by the end of the show. As the tension mounts within the visions, Pridimant finds himself confusing what is real and what is only an illusion. A story of love and loss, acceptance and denial, power and weakness, The Illusion is a classic tale re-imagined by Kushner for today's generation.

The Illusion will be performed in the Little Theatre on February 5th, 6th & 8th at 7:30PM and Februrary 7th at 2:00PM.
