Calling all Parents/Guardians

Calling All Theatre Parents and Guardians at Newton North! Join us for a back-to-school meeting for all theatre parents/guardians
on Tuesday, September 16th at 7:00 PM in the Little Theatre.

Adam Brown, the director of Theatre Ink, Newton North’s own teaching and working theatre, will be joined by other theatre faculty as well as members of the parent-led Theatre Arts Opportunity Committee (TAOC) to discuss the year ahead. The meeting will cover: opportunities for students to get involved in various forms of theatre, both on and off stage; general expectations; and fun events planned. We particularly encourage families that are new to Newton North, as well as those curious to learn more about the Theatre Ink program, to attend. For more information, contact HERE

Stage Manager Workshop 9/20

Saturday, 9/20 from 9-3

Join us for a stage management workshop designed to teach the fundamental skills and responsibilities of a stage manager (SM) in a theatrical production. A stage manager is a central and indispensable figure in a theatrical production, serving as the primary organizer, communicator, and logistical support from the beginning of rehearsals through the final curtain call. They are often described as the hub of a wheel, connecting the director, actors, designers, and crew to ensure the production runs smoothly and safely. Develop skills that will translate to everything you do in and outside the theatre.
